RetinaVR is the first fully-immersive, portable and affordable virtual reality simulator for vitreoretinal surgery. It uses commercially-available headsets and controllers.
We are working to make RetinaVR free on the Meta Quest store by the end of 2024. We hope that it will democratize access to surgical simulation worldwide.

In May 2024, our work featured on Radio-Canada, Canada's national public broadcaster:
“Retinal surgery is as frequent as it is delicate. The CHUM in Montreal has developed a virtual reality application to improve surgeon training. It's an innovative technology that's far less expensive than those that already exist, and could be exported all over the world.” Reported by Mathieu Papillon.
